SolPrint Module Overview

With its modular design SolPrint can be deployed utilising only the modules you require. Modules and users can be added as needed. SolPrint has been developed over the last 15 years with hundreds of users that benefit from continual updates to the system.

Estimating

The estimating engine is the core of the system providing for all the specifications required for the tasks at hand. Master files contain set up, run and process information that simplifies, standardizes and streamlines the process. This powerful estimating tool is further refined for Web, Sheet, Continuous, Label or Broking requirements.

This screen is an example of an Estimating window for Sheet & Web operations. It has all the information you need in a single view while each area can be drilled into, providing exacting detail.

Fastrack Estimating

Often, work we print is similar in nature with minor differences. Fastrack is a template driven tool that allows you to create as many parts as required so you can quickly build an estimate by adding the necessary elements. This tools streamlines and de-skills the estimating process.

Production

In Production you can review all work in progress, action web orders and convert estimates to jobs with the click of a button. No re-keying is necessary and all the information from the estimate is retained. From the work ticket details you can amend the quantity, check on stock availability, enter internal and external notes for production, add charges for alterations, track quality, enter or modify the despatch instructions, add electronic files to the job and of course produce a customized work docket. Simple and very effective!

Purchasing

Integrated purchasing makes it simple. Review job requirements or stock replenishment needs and print, fax or email purchase orders. SolPrint can even send XML order instructions to suitable suppliers. Authorization levels are available to manage the entire purchasing process. Jobs are updated so production can immediately see the orders have been placed and can review the purchase order anytime at the click of a button. Plus a complete analysis of your spend with every supplier is available for immediate review.

Job Costing

Integrated estimating, purchasing and shop floor data collection provide quick and accurate job costing. For each job SolPrint compare estimated, actual cost and final pricing to ensure profitability. Each area can be analysed by drilling-down to the details. Spend less time collecting data and more time using the information.

Shop Floor Data Collection

Utilizing our state of the art touch screen, a web browser or direct JDF integration with your production equipment, data is seamlessly integrated to your system providing live job costing information.

Paper and Raw Material Stock

Simple and accurate stock control! This module provides on hand and committed stock quantities to help minimise stock holding utilising Just In Time principles. In addition, pallet and reel tracking functionality utilise bar codes to track stock movement providing you full traceability in line with the new FSC standards. To simplify the process of keeping your stock prices accurate SolPrint can import and update stock prices from capable suppliers over the web.

Scheduling

This graphical production board assists the scheduler in identifying and resolving issues using multiple what if analyses. Drag and drop jobs, modify capacity, decide on a plan of action and implement a new schedule immediately. Real time integration with the shop floor provides accurate and timely information to pro actively manage the ever changing and critical schedule.

Utilizing this dynamic tool you can schedule all tasks required with respect to job type, capacity of equipment and customer requirements. With visual tools you can move and reschedule jobs in a “What if” scenario or update the live schedule with a click. On screen analysis of tasks, jobs and processes give you the control of your constantly moving schedule.

Broking

If you’re a print broker, reseller of print, or you want to streamline you print procurement process, our print management systems are on line and easy to use. Manage the entire process from estimating through invoice and despatch. Estimating is simplified with automated supplier selection. Email and web communication simplify the invitation to tender process. Utilizing a simple tick box supplier selection process the resulting estimate can be generated instantly. Once the work has been finalized the integrated purchasing module automatically distributes work to the selected suppliers.

Finished Goods Stock

FGS enables print management with full traceability for any item from production to storage through despatch and invoicing. Clients can view this information, complete with thumbnail images, online anytime. Call off orders are fed directly to the pick and pack process. Managing finished stock couldn’t be easier.

Despatch

Customer service executives enter the clients’ delivery requirements. This information is passed to despatch where the Despatch Manager determines the daily delivery schedule. Easy output of customized delivery notes, packing lists, address labels, delivery instructions and the daily delivery schedule help to streamline the process.

Invoicing

Immediate invoicing with all price corrections as soon as the job is despatched is standard operating procedure in SolPrint. On screen comparisons of estimate, actual and charged prices highlight areas of concern with drill-down available to interrogate costing details. Regardless of whether you use our powerful Accounts package or we integrate to your existing accounting solution accurate, timely and detailed invoicing is provided.

Sales and Purchase Ledgers

Integrated credit control minimizes bad debt while reporting aged analysis, statements and credit notes are effortless. Powerful reporting on sales/purchases by date, period, account, give you the information to run your business successfully.

Nominal Ledger

For full seamless integration from production, purchasing and invoicing our Accounts package provides extensive multi company, multi branch, and multi department analysis. Full multi currency facilities are available throughout the system.

Security

The system is controlled by a powerful security system that can be tailored for each user ensuring system integrity.

Prospecting

Good customers are hard to come by and require diligent attention to retain. Our browser, based prospecting module is ideal for the sales team to hunt new clients and farm existing accounts. Powerful mail-merge facilities enable campaigns to be targeted and responses tracked.
